Green Gorilla is geeat. I just watched the latest episode and then about the Gyre. It drives the important point. If you buy/use plastic make sure it’s something that can be reused over and over again. Most of us aren’t able to avoid plastic all together but we can make a big difference.
One easy place is take out. When possible bring your own container, my favorite is from togoware.com and is made of stainless steel. Whole foods is happy to put my whole meal deal in the container that has two sections, closes tight and can go right from the store to the fridge to the oven and then the dishwasher. No plastic, no garbage. Very cool We use more resusable containers in general and less zip lock bags and the like, but still use a few and they aren’t as easy to reuse.
One of the coolest things of doing it differently is the reactions you get. I love it when someone asks me about my togowear when I’m using it — I’m sure many others have been inspired by the idea and have bought their own sets.
