Kids, have you thought about how your school can energy efficient?
Scoot and her friends at an Energy Efficiency Club meeting
While all schools might not be there just yet, going green has become a huge priority for schools across the country. Even though your Principal, teachers and parents are mostly responsible for taking steps to green your school, kids can certainly help the process along.
After Turn It Down Day, Scoot gathered together a bunch of of friends in the school yard to brainstorm energy efficiency ideas that they could bring to teachers and parents. They came up with a bunch of cool ideas like installing light sensors in the classrooms and applying tinted film on the windows to stay cool. Why not start your own Energy Efficiency (EE) Club at school to see what great ideas you all can come up with?
